LOSING IT tells the story of Jane, held indefinitely in a secure psychiatric hospital for killing her young children.  There she finds some solace in meditation in a ‘quiet room’  while the staff offer her the caring support and containment she has never known.

The arrival of Dr Townsend changes that when he offers Jane therapy which uncovers her disturbing past. Deeply distressed, she absconds while at her sister’s funeral and heads for the Belgian trailer site where the murders took place. Here she reconnects with her past and, brought back to the hospital, no longer wants to live.  Is she mad, bad, or both?  And how did she get that way?  Told through the voices of Jane and the staff members who care for her, this book is about sanity and madness in a dangerous, uncaring world, when the struggle to remain sane can be too great.
