Dark Rider is a historical romance by Sarah Mitchell.  Sarah has command over a wide range of genres including historical romance, historical suspense, and contemporary inspirational romances. She has remarkable character building and illustration capabilities which make the readers think of her story characters to be a real life person.

Dark Rider is a Scottish historical romance, set in the medieval era. The chief protagonist is Laird McGregor, the Dark Rider, who is famous for being a ruthless warrior. The story involves Brianna, a feisty English woman, who is promised to Laird against her will. She has always thought of warriors as being heartless human beings who don’t even love their life, let alone loving anyone else. Her parents have given her hand to Laird in order to create an alliance with the McGregor family. Soon, she finds herself standing beside the Dark Rider, before the altar, to be pronounced husband and wife.

The story is full of twists and turns in the form of betrayal and selfish motives, especially of the McGregor clan. The author has included a wide range of emotions in this story from passionate love to betrayal and the struggle of the couple to find happily-ever-after for themselves.
