Dared – Book Review

If you’re looking for a great read this summer, then there is none better than Dared: Scandalous Moves Series. Written by Deborah Grace Staley, the book is a spectacular read and is based on the story of a successful Broadway dancer who is seduced by a bad boy. The author has done a commendable job and has shown off her impressive writing skill, which shouldn’t be a surprise as she has won an MFA in Creative Writing from Goddard College.

Deborah Grace Staley has won accolades for her writing before, but she has certainly taken her writing expertise to another level with this latest book. She married her college sweetheart, and currently lives in Southern Florida, with their rescued dachshunds. The book is incredibly steamy and intense, as the main lead Di Jenson, makes a bet with Van Vanzant, the bad boy, to dance at Vanz, which is an exclusive gentleman’s club. The bet is that Di will have to make more money in just one dance, than all the rest of Vanz club’s dancers, without taking off her clothes.

Van accepts the bet, since he clearly isn’t over Di, when they met on a blind date, and he wants to show her his other side, which isn’t linked with the adult entertainment industry. Di is actually drawn towards the bad boy personality of Van, but she doesn’t know anyone in the adult entertainment business. However, once she starts to dance at his club, the bet takes a turn that neither will be able to forget.

Will the bad boy who has secrets, be able to win the heart of a successful Broadway dancer who has dared to make a scandalous move? One thing is a given, you won’t be putting down your book once you start reading this compelling book.
