A Day For Tears – Book Review

A Day for Tears is a spiritual book by Nancy Lombard Burall. From the death of her parents when she was a teenager, to being a single parent, to the breakdown of her health, Nancy learned to trust God. Her unique perspective has allowed her to minister to broken people and lead them to healing in Jesus. She has written devotionals, wrote and taught a seminar. Her story, “Oh Chute,” about her skydiving experience, was published in “The Chicken Soup for the Soul: Power of Positive,” 2013.

Currently, Nancy is researching for a series of Christian Speculative stories.

In ‘A Day for Tears’, the author shares her own story of grief, loss, hope and gain. The chief protagonist of the book is the author herself. ‘A Day for Tears’ has a great storyline. The book is full of twists and turns. If you’re someone who loves a plot twist, then you cannot afford to ignore this book.

The story starts with Nancy receiving a call in the wee hours of the morning—a call which informs her about a heart attack that her father had suffered. To make matters worse, Nancy is seven months pregnant and has to undergo an emergency C-section. All of this results in a four-day ordeal for Nancy.

The book is filled with a story of grief and loss, yet it manages to inspire and fill the reader with hope. A part of her life is what Nancy shares in this book. This part of her life that she shares with the reader was her most difficult one. She also shares her belief in God and how he helped her come through the worse period of her life. If you’re looking for some inspiration in life then this book is a must read for you.
