Iniquitous is the story of an alcoholic private investigator, Drew Schweitzer, who is hired to aid the police in a Missing Persons case by the parents of a terminally ill little girl, Abby Deirdre, who disappeared from the hospital a month earlier. Unsure if the child is still alive, the PI finds himself in a race against time to find her before her condition worsens or at least find the people who took her.
With every new discovery, it seems that Abby’s disappearance may be linked to something worse.
Those not familiar with the work of Craig R Key are not going to want to miss out on this. With his last book being a romantic comedy, and the one before that being a fantasy, Iniquitous is Craig R Key’s first thriller, which he easily takes on with his always memorable characters and fantastic storytelling ability. The quick pace never gets bogged down with needless description or filler like some other books tend to do. Iniquitous has a solid plot that keeps the pages turning and makes it impossible to put the book down.
However, this story is not for the faint of heart. It is a gritty, dark, and disturbing tale that doesn’t pull punches. This is not a book full of violence for the sake of being violent, but some of the imagery will chill you to the bone. You might find yourself reading this all in one go, racing to get to the very satisfying ending so you can discuss it with your friends.Craig R Key
